Hanging from the ceiling is an old-fashioned wooden toboggan; paintings for sale hang on the walls; and furniture pieces, glassware appliances, bicycles, clothing, dolls, and lamps are ready to be sold. Everywhere you look, there are cats. Some are part of the decor, adorning a sofa or pictured sleeping on a rug. But some are real, lolling on the floor or basking in the attention of store owner Lorrie Walpole -- who said she started the business to support her work with animals. She rescues cats, takes care of their medical needs, and places them up for adoption. There is a “kitty fund” jar on the store counter to help with expenses for these animals. Open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 pm. (410) 770-8828
