Rail to Trails -- The Town of Easton “Rails-to-Trails” is a federal, state, and local project designed to utilize out-of-service rail lines for outdoor recreational purposes. The Easton Rails to Trails project converts valuable railroad right-of-ways into public trails for running, walking, bicycling, wildlife conservation and observation, and other purposes. The Town of Easton Comprehensive Plan calls for the Rails to Trails system in Easton to connect destinations in the Town and eventually serve as an essential link for a trail network in the mid-shore area, ultimately connecting recreational points in Talbot County and surrounding areas. Talbot River Tours -- Tour the beautiful Tred Avon River between Easton and Oxford. The River Runner is a U.S.C.G.-inspected vessel carrying up to 20 passengers.
